A note from Peter

Why Golfminders?

I am a 74-year-old golfer who has been playing golf for over 50 years. I currently have a 12 handicap. Over the years, I have had three holes-in-one and won a handful of club events.

As you get older, golf becomes more of a physical and mental challenge. So, in an attempt to improve, I keep my TikTok feed loaded with golf gurus. This is nice, but it isn’t the answer. Somehow, you have to transfer what you learned from yesterday’s guru to today, when you are on the course or driving range.

Hit the best possible shot you can every time. Every shot counts.

So I realized I needed a simple app that could break down my golf game, organize it into seven golf shots (our app gives you up to ten), and then provide short, abbreviated reminders, in my own words, to help me hit the best possible shot I can. The app gives you up to five reminders per shot.

As you use your reminders, you can decide when it’s time to replace one with something more current or appropriate, based on how that shot has been going.

I have been using this app in my actual golf matches for the last month, and none of my golfing buddies have noticed anything. Everyone is always playing on their phones. Knowing I have, say, a 70-yard shot coming up, if I have time, as soon as I get in the cart I hit a couple of buttons, and boom—the reminder or process for hitting that 70-yard shot is flashed in front of me, very quickly.

Here is the deal: if I were 30 years old, had a photographic memory, and was 100% happy with my golf game, I guess Golfminders would not be for me. Why bother? For the older golfer who has time to tinker with their game, or the beginning golfer who really wants to maximize their success on the course, Golfminders is a perfect solution. And the best part is the app is free.

Good luck to you in your golfing journey.

Remember, every shot counts, and count them all.
